Organ donation gave me life, but research helped me live it.

Give the gift of life this festive season
This festive season, let’s give hope to Western Australians living with life-threatening lung diseases.
For Carolyn Boyd, or Caz as she’s lovingly known, life was running out 30 years ago as her lungs failed. A double lung transplant saved her life, but it was decades of research that made it possible for her to survive and thrive.
Today Caz celebrates 30 years since her transplant — something no one thought possible in 1994. She’s a living testament to the power of research, which has improved transplant techniques, developed new anti-rejection treatments and given people like her the chance to live full, meaningful lives.
